hello sunshine

Today baby and I had our 28 week appointment. We're officially in the third trimester!


Here is an updated ultrasound of our little boy - he was sucking on his hand (the long white object toward the top of the photo is his hand). He is head down so his kicks rumble the top and side of my tummy - quite entertaining. They estimate he weights just over 2 pounds. Eeek! I'm so excited to meet him.

Kya is very much enjoying the warmer weather and sunshine. We've had many lunches on the deck.


It's official - we have a double stroller! Kya and pink bear (her trusty companion) give it two thumbs up.

Reagan got a new house/kennel outside. Thanks to Corey for the great construction and planning of it. Reagan loves spending her days in the yard.

Mother's Day 2013

Corey and Kya gave me a fantastic and memorable Mother's Day this year (as they always seem to do).
We went to Mass then had a pot-luck family brunch at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kiddos got to play and I got to eat as much as baby and I wanted. Delicious.

Then Kya and I took marvelous afternoon naps.



Corey and Kya took me out to eat at Famous Dave's (I got to choose). I wanted something spicy to eat at a place we could sit outside, since it was a beautiful spring day. Famous Daves was rather random of a choice but it was such fun sitting outside. Kya got lots of entertainment out of watching for motorcycles on Expressway.


After dinner we got Dairy Queen from the walk-up store in downtown Bismarck. We walked over to Eagles park and enjoyed our dessert in the park. Then Kya got to play at the playground.

As a pregnant lady in her 6th month who also happens to be planning to have another natural labor and delivery — this video had me in tears (happy tears), laughing until my tummy hurt ... or maybe that was a contraction? ...

Spring hike at Cross Ranch State Park

Gotta love Cross Ranch State Park! We hiked a few miles at the park today and had the place to ourselves. Extra bonus – it's a fast 20-mile, gravel road drive from our house. We've decided a annual state park pass is definitely a necessity for our family this year.

Lots of fun happening here at the Hager house, so far in the first four days of May.


Kya and Reagan are quickly becoming the best of friends.


Kya learned how to pedal her tricycle. Watch out world, here comes Kya!


I got to do the final walk-through on my parent's new house, and pick up the keys for them. I can't wait for Grandma and Grandpa Z to be North Dakota residents soon!


Reagan did her first water retrieval 'fetch' for Corey. Kaya and I were there to watch (just over the railroad tracks from our house). Proud Corey moment!


Kya is every improving her fashion. This morning I was doing some back room basement organization and Kya joined me in this beautiful ensemble.
