Kya's 4th Birthday

Kya is one very blessed little girl. She has so many wonderful grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins ... and they are almost all geographically close! It was nothing short of amazing to celebrate her 4th birthday with a (somewhat chaotic) house full of love that included 6 kiddos aged 7 and under. As someone who did't have a cousin until I was mid-20s, and grew up thousands of miles from family — I thought Kya's day was 100 percent awesome (she thought so too).

In case you hadn't noticed, Kya chose "princesses" as the theme. Oh boy does she love princesses. How did that happen?!

Oh and the ice cream cake from Dairy Queen? yum.


The beautiful evening meant that kiddos changed into play clothes and headed outside for exploring and snowball fights.


And the day ended as most days out here do ... with a walk on the gravel road. Corey ventured out with Kya, Lauryn, Parker and Reagan (our dog).
